Rustam Minnikhanov holds a meeting with the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the AAOIFI

On November 3, during his working visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov held a meeting with the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI) His Excellency Sheikh Ebrahim bin Khalifa Al Khalifa.

AAOIFI, headquartered in the Kingdom of Bahrain, is the most authoritative not-for-profit organization primarily responsible for development and issuance of standards for Islamic banks and the global Islamic finance industry.

Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized that Tatarstan has established good business relations with the Organization. Its representatives regularly participate in the International Economic Forum "KazanForum". During the last event, they conducted an educational course on Islamic finance for participants.

The meeting discussed the possibility of holding this conference in Tatarstan. Sheikh Ebrahim bin Khalifa Al Khalifa expressed his readiness to provide all necessary assistance in organizing this important forum.
