Marat Zyabbarov reports on harvest work and development of grain-breeding in the republic

On 2 November, speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov with participation of the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and the Chairman of the State Council of the republic Farid Mukhametshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via video conference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported about harvest work advance and the development of seed breeding in the republic.

He informed that harvesting of sunflower, maize and sugar beet is still going on in the field with780 thousand tonnes of sugar beet already processed and 110 thousand tonnes of sugar produced.

Reporting about seed breeding in the republic, the Minister informed that there are 54 seed production farms and 7 plants which fully satisfy the demand of agribusiness in quality high productive grain seed breeding, every year producing about 145 thousand tonnes of seeds.
