Rustam Minnikhanov congratulates Member of Tatarstan Academy of Sciences Renat Muslimov with his 90th birthday and hands him in the Medal of the Order of Merit for the Republic of Tatarstan

On 1 November in the Government House of the republic the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with the Dotor of Sciences in Geology and Mineral Studies, the Member of Tatarstan Academy of Sciences Renat Muslimov, whom he  congratulated  with his 90th birthday and handed him in the state award of the republic – the Medal of the Order For Merit to the Republic of Tatarstan for his special contribution into the development of oil industry of the republic, long time labour and scientific and public work.

The whole work of Renat Muslimov is inseparably connected with the oil industry of Tatarstan, with 100 oil deposits discovered and a highly efficient system for working reserves difficult to recover developed under his supervision.

The school of oil geologists established by Muslimov in the republic has become an outstanding one not only in the former USSR but all over the world.
