Rustam Minnikhanov holds a meeting with the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon on the sidelines of the BRICS summit

On October 24, welcoming the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, who arrived in Kazan by an invitation from Russian President Vladimir Putin to take part in the BRICS Outreach events, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov thanked him for his attention to Tatarstan.

Emomali Rahmon emphasized that the choice of Kazan as the venue for such a significant summit once again demonstrates its special status.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the main areas of cooperation. "We are interested in expanding the presence of leading Tatarstan companies on the market of your country," Minnikhanov emphasized.

In turn, Emomali Rahmon noted that the issue of regional cooperation remains in the center of attention in Tajikistan. "The share of the Republic of Tatarstan in the total volume of trade with the Russian Federation is 50 million dollars. This figure needs to be increased," he said.
