Rustam Minnikhanov reminds about the restrictions during BRICS days and urges Tatarstan residents to take them responsibly: There will be serious restrictions, this is a necessity

On October 19, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held in a videoconference with all regional municipalities, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said that the summit of heads of state is a key event of Russia's BRICS presidency in 2024 and informed about the restrictions that are being imposed in the capital of Tatarstan - Kazan - during the events of the 16th BRICS summit.

The country's leadership, Russian President Vladimir Putin, entrusted this task - holding a large-scale event - to Tatarstan. And we consider this a great trust and responsibility. It is important to organize everything, ensure maximum hospitality, help in resolving organizational issues. There will be many leaders of states and many guests. The advanced groups are already working with us," the Rais of Tatarstan said.

Speaking about the restrictions that are being imposed during the summit, Rustam Minnikhanov said: "I am addressing, first of all, the residents of Kazan and suburban areas. There will be severe restrictions on these dates - from 21 to 25 October. This is a necessity. It is important to ensure increased security measures in connection with the preparation and holding of the international event".
