On October 18, at the Galiaskar Kamal Tatar State Academic Theatre, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, State Counselor of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev and Chairman of the State Council of Tatarstan Farid Mukhametshin took part in the farewell ceremony with the outstanding figure of theatrical art, People’s Artist of Russia and Tatarstan Rinat Tazetdinov.

Mintimer Shaimiev emphasized that the work of Rinat Tazetdinov left a bright mark in the Tatar theatrical art.
Rinat Tazetdinov died on October 16, 2024 after a serious illness at the age of 87. After graduating from the Higher Theatre School named after Shchepkin in 1961, he worked at the Galiaskar Kamal Theatre for over 60 years. He embodied about 100 different roles on stage. He was one of the most popular and beloved actors, a prominent theatre and public figure. In 1988-2011, he headed the Tatarstan branch of the Union of Theatre Workers of Russia.
