Rustam Minnikhanov and the CEO of the Tourism.RF Corporation discuss the implementation of tourism investment projects in the region

On October 16, at their working meeting in the Government House of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and CEO of the Tourism.RF Corporation Sergey Sukhanov discussed the the implementation of the investment project to create a year-round resort "Kazan Marina" in the Laishevo region of the republic. The participants discussed the preparation of the necessary design documentation, as well as upcoming tasks for the construction of supporting infrastructure, and the construction of the complex itself.

The meeting participants emphasized that the tourist flow in the region is steadily growing. Over 3.2 million people visited Kazan in the first 8 months of 2024, this figure exceeds last year's results by 10 per cent. Records are also expected at the end of the year - it is planned that more than 4 million tourists will visit the capital of the region.

Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized that the implementation of the "Kazan Marina" project together with the Tourism.RF Corporation will contribute to a further increase in the tourist flow to Tatarstan.

The Kazan Marina will become the first tourist center with the full cycle tourist center for about 300 yachts and marina on the Volga in the last 30 years.

The future "Kazan Marina" resort is recognized as a priority investment project, which will allow providing additional benefits to investors during the project implementation. Key support measures, including preferential lending and subsidizing the construction of supporting infrastructure, will ensure the efficient implementation of the project. The regional economy will benefit significantly - about 1900 new jobs will be created.
