Rustam Minnikhanov arrives on a working trip to Turkmenistan

On 10 October the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov came on a working trip to Turkmenistan where he, as a member of a Russian delegation headed by Russian President Vladimir Putin, will take part in the events of the International Forum “Interconnection of times and civilizations as the basis of peace and development” dedicated to the 300th birthday of the Oriental poet and thinker Makhtumkuli Fragi, whose creative heritage is the national treasure. The agenda of the visit of the Rais of Tatarstan also includes a number of meetings. 

The International organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) has announced 2024 as the year of the great poet and thinker of the Turkic world – Makhtumkuli Fragi and included his manuscripts into the International UNESCO Memory of the World Register.

The conference is held with participation of leaders of about 10 countries and heads of international organizations and Tatarstan as one of the key partners of Turkmenistan among Russian regions makes its contribution into strengthening cooperation between Russia and Turkmenistan.
