Rustam Minnikhanov and Anton Alikhanov take part in a solemn ceremony of the occasion of the Day of Machine-building Worker in Naberezhnyye Chelny

On 4 October the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Anton Alikhanov, the Director General of the KAMAZ Automaker Sergey Kogogin and the Mayor of Naberezhnyye Chelny Nail Magdeedv took part in a solemn ceremony dedicated to the Day of Machine-building Worker held in the Organ Hall in Naberezhnyye Chelny. 

At a special exposition which displayed the produce of the regional machine-building enterprises, the guests looked round KAMAZ trucks, buses and dump trucks, the ANSAT helicopter,  MTZ Tatarstan tractors and other agricultural machinery, electric charging stations, vacuum pumps and others.

Welcoming participants of the event, Anton Alikhanov gave high assessment to the contribution of machine-building workers into the development of the country and stated that currently this branch comprises nearly 4m people in Russia. Nowadays without any exaggeration all spheres of our economy depend on successful work of machine-building workers and how quickly we will be able to replace imported equipment, machinery and their spare parts. The attention Tatarstan attaches to the development of this sector inspires respect,” he said.

“We have a good tradition of celebrating the Day of the Machine-building worker in Naberezhnyye Chelny as it is here that our main machine-building capacities are concentrated. The KAMAZ Company is one of the leaders of the branch and today there will a solemn event dedicated to the manufacture of two and a half millionth truck,” Rustam Minnikhanov said. 

In his turn, Sergey Kogogin said: “We are all proud of our profession. There is the special military operation. Nobody of us has hidden and we solving all tasks set forth to the branch by the Head of the state. We will not let you down.”

After Nail Magdeev expressed his gratitude to “the big family of machine-building workers”, representatives of the branch were handed in a number of state awards.
