On 25 September at their meeting in Moscow the Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Russian Minister of Energy Sergey Tsivilev discussed issues of the development of energy branch of the republic, international cooperation and strengthening already existing international connections in power industry.
Speaking at the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov thanked the leadership of the Russian Ministry of Energy for its attention to issues of the regions, in particular to the development of energy infrastructure in Tatarstan.
In his turn Sergey Tsivilev stated that today there is a necessity in creating united standards in energetics with all friendly countries.
“Under no conditions is it possible to reach technological sovereignty in one separate country. We must develop relations with BRICS countries and involve them into joint work with us as much as possible. The fuel and energy complex is the driver of the Russian economy growth due to its professional skills and financial opportunities,” he said.
Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized that the fuel and energy complex of the region is one of the main spheres for the development of Tatarstan economy.
The parties of the meeting also discussed issues of modernization of energy infrastructure taking into account current world trends and the focus on the scientific and technological cooperation with friendly countries.
Tatarstan Minister of Industry and Trade Oleg Korobchenko, the Director General of the Grid Company Ilshat Fardiev and the Director General of the Tatenergo Company Rauzil Khaziev also took part in the meeting.
