On 21 September, speaking at a regional meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic will all municipalities taking part in it via video conference, the regional Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov informed that as many as 1m 308 thousand hectares of grain and pulse crops or 99 per cent of the planned areas have been threshed in Tatarstan and 26 regions have completed the harvest.
He said that the yield has made 3m 645 thousand tonnes of grain so far and harvesting of rape and sugar beet still continues.
Marat Zyabbarov also informed that two sugar plants of the republic have already produced 29 thousand tonnes of sugar from the new harvest, processing more than 12 500 sugar beet a day.
He reported that 90 per cent of the planned area of winter crops has already been sowed and 49 per cent of the planned soil has been tilled.
Saying that 64 per cent of the forage has already been conserved, Marat Zyabbarov asked heads of farms to organize two work-shifts and to complete the forage conservation in the nearest time possible.
