Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in the first session of the regional State Council of the seventh convocation

On 20 September the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, members of the Government of the republic and invited persons took part in the first session of the regional State Council of the seventh convocation held in the Council sitting hall. According to the decision of the meeting of representatives of the Council members, the session agenda included 17 issues all of which were mainly of organizational nature.

Before the procedure of electing the Council Chairman the right to open and preside the meeting was given to the oldest member Marat Galeev according to the Article 73 of Tatarstan Constitution.

Marat Galeev informed about congratulatory telegrams which came from the Chairman of the Council of Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matvienko and heads of legislative councils of Russian regions.

By the secret e ballot most of the members of the Council – 85 people - voted for appointing Farid Mukhametshin the Chairman of the Tatarstan State Council.
