Briefing on preventive medical examinations and screening held in Tatarstan Government House

On 17 September, speaking at a briefing held in Tatarstan Government House on preventive medical examinations and screening, the regional Minister of Healthcare Marsel Minullin informed that about one million people have been examined during 8 months of the current year. 

He said that unhealthy nutrition, obesity and low physical activity has been stated with nearly every tenth of the examined and all they were given necessary recommendations from specialists, with every forth being sent to additional examination.

Marsel Minullin said that 88 845 diseases have been diagnosed for the first time, with cardiovascular diseases taking the leading positions of 31 per cent.

He also informed about screening of oncological diseases, the preventive medical examinations organized at industrial enterprises, the work done in remote regions of the republic as well as the flu vaccination campaign going on in Tatarstan.
