Aleksey Pesoshin: Tatarstan traditionally attaches great attention to forestry

On 13 September in Kazan Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and the Minister of Forestry of the republic Ravil Kuzyurov took part in solemn ceremony of handing in 33 new business cars LADA Niva Travel to departments of the regional Forestry Ministry.

Speaking at the ceremony, Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated everyone with the coming professional holiday of the Day of the Forest Worker. “This day is the day of paying respect to all those who take care of the “green” wealth of our native republic,” he said. 

The Head of the regional Government emphasized that Tatarstan traditionally attaches great attention to forestry as more than 17 per cent of the area of the republic are covered with forest and the branch employs more than 2 500 people, he stated.

Aleksey Pesoshin gave high assessment to the level of forestry development in the republic as for two years in the row Tatarstan ranks the first among Russian regions in efficiency of implementation of delegated authorities in the sphere of forestry. “I am sure ecological safety is in good hands and you will continue efficiently solving all tasks you are facing,” he concluded.
