On 9 September at their meeting on the sidelines of the Kazan Digital Week Forum held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Russian Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media Maksut Shadayev discussed a number of issues, including training specialists for the IT sphere, implementation of the programme of modernization rural post offices, connection of under-populated settlements to the Internet and others.
Speaking at the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized that the stable work of the post, high quality cell connection and the accessible Internet are necessary conditions for comfortable life of residents. That is why these issues are considered by the Tatarstan State Council Commission in the sphere “Infrastructure for life” which he is the head of, the Rais of Tatarstan informed.
The Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Roman Shaykhutdinov, the regional Minister of Digital Development of Public Administration, Information Technologies and Communications Ayrat Khayrullin and the President of the local Academy of Sciences Rifkat Minnikhanov also took part in the meeting.
