Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov meets Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in Astana

On 8 September at his a meeting with Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in Astana the the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, who came to Kazakhstan on a working trip to take part in a ceremonial opening of the World Nomad Games, congratulated the Kazakhstan President with hosting the V World Nomad Games in Astana.

“It goes without saying that the Nomad Games make invaluable contribution into restoration and preservation of nomad civilizations culture,” he said and thanked the President for having created conditions for strengthening cooperation within the framework of Russia-Kazakhstan relations.

“Together with Russian President Vladimir Putin you actively support the development of ties between our countries at a regional level. The cooperation agenda is rather eventful,” Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized.

He also informed that according to results of the last year the trade turnover between Tatarstan and Kazakhstan increased by 70 per cent and made 180 dollars US.

In his turn Kassym-Jomart Tokayev assured that all projects being implemented with the republic are going as planned. “I am happy to welcome you. Despite your busy time during preparations for the BRICS Summit, you are here with us today. All our joint projects are being implemented as planned and are under my personal control,” he said to Rustam Minnikhanov.
