Rustam Minnikhanov: In Tatarstan, polling stations will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

On 7 September, speaking at a regional meeting in the Government House of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov gave an errand to hold the election of members of the regional State Council of the VII convocation to be held on 8 September at the high organizational level.

“Large organizational work has been done in the republic It is important to ensure successful voting procedure. Polling stations will be working from 7 in the morning till 8 in the evening,” he said.

He also informed that there are 65 regional and 2 760 district election committees in the republic and asked all heads of organizations and ministries to take part in the election leading their staff by example.

The Rais of the republic also gave an errand to election organizers to ensure all necessary conditions for exercising citizens right to vote and to law enforcement bodies – to take measures for providing law and order at polling stations and public places. “It is important to have elections at a high organizational level with active participation of voters and full legitimacy of the voting results,” Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized.
