Threshing of cereal crops have been finished on the area of 1m 11 hectares in Tatarstan which makes 84 per cent of the planned

On 7 September, speaking at a regular meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov informed that threshing of cereal crops have been finished on the area of 1m 11 hectares in the republic which makes 84 per cent of the planned and the yield already made 3m95 thousand tonnes.

He also informed about harvesting of sweet peas, rapes, sugar beet and reported that two sugar plants of the republic have already started sugar beet processing, having already manufactured 7 500 tonnes of sugar from the new harvest.

The regional Minister reported that four regions of the republic have already finished grain harvest and three more are at the finishing stage while seven regions have harvested less than 70 per cent of the area.

Marat Zybbarov briefly informed about winter crops sowing and said that the work was finished on 58 per cent of the planned area. He also informed that 447 thousand tonnes of hay and 2m 604 thousand tonnes of haylage have been procured which makes 77 per cent of the planned.

The Rais of the republic emphasized that it is important to finish the harvest with high quality with the least losses of the grown yield. He also said that cultivation and autumn sowing are a very important task and this work should be done as quickly as possible taking into account weather conditions.
