Rais of Tatarstan meets Ambassador of Egypt to Russia Nazih el-Nagari

On 6 September, speaking at his meeting with the Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Egypt to Russia Nazih el-Nagari in the Government House of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized that Egypt is a long term and important partner of Russia.

Last year the countries celebrated the 80th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations, and Rustam Minnikhanov said: “Russia and Egypt are united by common positions in issues of settlement of crisis and conflict phenomena in the world and a common approach to many international issues.”

“Leaders of both countries attach great attention to issues of creating favorable conditions for expanding the inter-regional cooperation, and in its turn Tatarstan makes its contribution into the development of business and cultural relations,” he stated.

The Rais of the republic also mentioned the good growth of Tatarstan-Egypt trade turnover which made 217m dollars US last year, having demonstrated eight time growth. “We are interested in further increase of the amount of mutual trade. We should support this positive dynamics,” he added.
