On 6 September, speaking at a ceremonial event on the occasion of the 80th birthday of Kazan Suvorov Military College, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said that the college established during the WWII is famous for its rich history and many generations of its graduates who found their vocation in various spheres.
Russian Chief Commander of the Land Troops Oleg Salyukov, who also took part in the ceremony, said: “For 80 years of its existence the college trained more than 12 thousand pupils, I congratulate all of you - from pupils to teachers with this remarkable jubilee.”
During this celebration day the College was awarded the Order of Honour, and Rustam Minnikhanov said: “All pupils of Suvorov Military College are united by sincere love and respect to their school. Its graduates always worship traditions and ideals of service to the Fatherland and loyalty to their brotherhood.”
He emphasized that today military officers-graduates of the College-distinguishably solve the most important tasks during the special military operation, demonstrating high combat spirit and decisively fighting for sovereignty and security of our country.
The Head of the College Valeriy Mironchenko expressed his gratitude for the high award and emphasized his dedication to continuation of the work of the college, preserving its reputation.
