Rustam Minnikhanov meets Chairman of the Board of the DELO Group of Companies Sergey Shishkarev on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum

On 4 September, speaking at his meeting with the Chairman of the Board of the DELO (Business) Group of Companies Sergey Shishkarev on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized that the republic is an active participant of foreign trade. During the last years Tatarstan has substantially increased the trade turnover with the countries-members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), with its growth having doubled last year. 

“Tatarstan is one of the most promising regions of Russia which possesses a substantial capacity and can become the key center for transport and logistics integration of foreign trade flows,” he said and reminded that the President of the country defined diversification of transport corridors, and first of all by establishing the North-South corridor, as one of priority tasks. 

“We are ready for implementation of joint projects as well as for organization of regular routes. This cooperation is strategically interesting for us and on our turn we are ready to provide all necessary support,” the Rais of the republic emphasized. 

In his turn Sergey Shishkarev said: “Tatarstan develops systematically and consistently. We can see prospects not only in strengthening transport and logistics basis and clients’ services but also in joint development of initiatives. We count on fruitful work on the sidelines of the BRICS Summit in Kazan which will take place in October.”
