Rustam Minnikhanov: There were no public order violations during celebrations of the Day of Tatarstan on 30 August

On 31 August, speaking at a regular meeting in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov informed that more than 400 thousand people, including 290 thousand in Kazan, took part in festive events dedicated to the Day of Tatarstan on 30 August.

He said that there were no any public order violations during celebrations and thanked employees of law enforcement and Special Forces bodies and events organizers.

The Rais of the republic also told that nine schools and two kindergartens were commissioned on the eve of the Day of Knowledge. “Huge work has been done on the capital overhaul of 185 facilities including 21 kindergartens, 51 schools and 94 catering units as well as four resource centers and 15 students’ dorms. I think that capital overhaul stands in good stead for the education system,” he said and emphasized that the new school year should begin properly.

Speaking at the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov also informed that the Tatarstan Oil and Gas Forum was organized at the high level and reminded that 1 September is also the Day of the Oil and Gas Industry employees.

The Rais of the republic told that seven applications from the republic  - namely the projects from Chistopol, Innopolis, Agryz, Arsk, Mendeleyevsk, Zelenodolsk and the town-island of Sviyazhsk - won a federal grant for the improvement of public spaces.
