Address from Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov on occasion of the Day of the Tatarstan

On 30 August in his address to residents of the republic on the occasion of the Day of Tatarstan, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said:”This day we feel pride for achievements of our countryman and fosterlings of the republic. We pay homage to veterans of the WWII, participants of the special military operation and their families. We commend the contribution of working teams, outstanding workers of science, culture and sports with deserved awards.

Ensuring cultural and language diversity and restoring shrines and cathedrals at a parity basis, Tatarstan quite justifiably is considered to be the region of harmony and concord where 175 ethnicities and representatives of various confessions live in the atmosphere of friendship and cooperation.

Public and political stability and civic unity are a strong basis of social and economic development, the source of trust of partners and the factor of attracting investments.

Tatarstan demonstrates growth of all main economic indicators and keeps leading positions, including that in the sphere of IT transformations and innovations.

Due to well -coordinated work of all power bodies it successfully implements national projects and regional programmes, improves cities, settlements and small villages and changes the life of people for the better.”

Having mentioned the creative work of specialists from the spheres of industry, science, agriculture, medical workers and public organizations, he said: “We are grateful to federal power bodies and personally to Vladimir Putin for their caring attitude to the republic, continuous support of initiatives and projects and an opportunity to host large Russian and international events.”

In conclusion he congratulated all residents of the republic with the Day of the republic and wished them good health and all the best.
