Rustam Minnikhanov assesses the construction progress of the passenger pier in Chistopol

On August 28, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov arrived on a working visit in Chistopol, where he together with the Aide to the Rais of the republic Olesya Baltusova, Head of the Chistopol region Dmitry Ivanov and Tatarstan Minister of Minister of Transport and Road Economy Farit Khanifov got acquainted with the construction progress of the passenger pier.

The work started in February 2023, where the customer is the Glavinveststroy of Tatarstan State Institution and the designer is "Tatinvestgrazhdanproekt" State Unitary Enterprise. To date, the total completion of work makes 94 per cent. The passenger pavilion has already been erected, work on the improvement of the adjacent territory and the construction of the berth wall is being completed.

It is expected that the passenger pier of Chistopol will have a positive impact on the tourist attractiveness of the city. Project is being built under the project «Integrated development of territories and infrastructure of small historical settlements» and planned to be completed in the current year.

Minnikhanov proposed to use the building not only during the navigation period, but also after its completion. The passenger pier building is intended to be used as a youth club with the public space with children’s and sports areas. Today during the inspection of the facility, Rustam Minnikhanov positively assessed the progress of construction and the amount of work done.  He stressed that it was the right solution - to combine the marina with a new public space and location for children and teenagers.
