On 28 August during his working trip to Nizhnekamsk the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov visited the gymnasium N2 which underwent capital overhaul last year with its façade, the roof and engineering network renovated and doors and windows replaced.
Rustam Minnikhanov looked round renovated school rooms, the canteen, the gym and the ceremonial hall, where he was told about work being done in Nizhnekamsk for improvement of studying native languages and training corresponding teachers.
Later the same day the Rais of Tatarstan handed in schoolbags to 30 first graders within the action ‘Help to get ready for school” launched in 2007 and aimed at supporting families who need an additional help when getting a child ready for school. Speaking at the ceremony, he said: “There are just few days left till the beginning of the new school year. More than 53 thousand kids will go to the first grade in Tatarstan this year. Today we have visited your wonderful gymnasium which is well-known all over the republic. After the capital overhaul you have all conditions necessary for comfortable studies.”
In the current year the action plans to support 9 500 first graders and more than 10 thousand schoolchildren in all cities and regions of the republic.
Later Rustam Minnikhanov looked round the improved Baki Urmanche Boulevard located close to the gymnasium.
