Rustam Minnikhanov: Bahrain is important trade and economic partner of our country in the Middle East region

On 26 August, speaking at his meeting with the Minister of Oil and  Environment of the Kingdom of Bahrain Doctor Mohamed bin Mubarak bin Daina on the sidelines of the Tatarstan Oil and Gas Forum held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov thanked his guest for taking part in the Forum.

“For the third year in a row you are taking part in our oil and gas forum. We highly appreciate your attention and facilitation to establishing relations with our republic,” he said and emphasized that Russia attaches great attention to interaction with Bahrain and considers it to be its important trade-economic and investments partner in the Middle East region. “It was a great honor for me to meet the King of Bahrain during his visit to Moscow in May this year. We are waiting for His Majesty in Tatarstan,” Rustam Minnikhanov said.

He also drew attention to the importance of expanding the trade turnover between Tatarstan and Bahrain and named such spheres as refinery, petrochemical industry, machine-building, Islamic finances and a number of others as very promising for cooperation. 

In his turn Doctor Mohamed bin Mubarak bin Daina passed Rustam Minnikhanov warm greetings from His Majesty the King of Bahrain and added: “Tatarstan is not just friendly but a brotherly republic. We are working on strengthening our contacts. Representatives of our oil companies who came with us to take part in the forum, has already had a number of negotiations. We hope our friendly relations will only become stronger.”
