Rustam Minnikhanov goes on a working trip to the Republic of Kalmykia

On 24 August the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minikhanov, who came on a working trip to Elista, had a meeting with the Head of the Republic of Kalmykia Batu Khasikov.

Speaking at the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov said that currently the trade turnover between Tatarstan and Kalmykia makes about 30m rubles, with Tatarstan supplying medical equipment and food products. 

There is a potential for broadening the range of products for example Tatarstan is ready to supply machine-building, automotive and refrigeration produce as well as to develop cooperation in informatization, he said. 

The Parties of the meeting agreed to exchange experience in the spheres of supporting entrepreneurship, training specialists for industry and improvement of public spaces. 

In the end the leadership of both republics signed the Plan of Actions on implementation of the Agreement on cooperation in economic, cultural, social and other spheres between Tatarstan and Kalmykia.
