Rustam Minnikhanov at a plenary session of the Russia Field -2024 Forum: We are sincerely happy that such Forum is being held here in Tatarstan

On 23 August the Russian Minister of Agriculture Oksana Lut, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, representatives of agribusiness and experts in agriculture took part in a plenary session of the All-Russia Forum of the Plant and Seed Breeders “Russian Field 2024” held in Korston recreation center in Kazan.

The business programme of the Forum was held on 22 and 23 August and the main topics of it were new breeding methods, staffing problems, interaction of science and business and others.

In her introductory speech Oksana Lut told participants of the Forum about tasks of the Russian agribusiness and the role of domestic breeding in reaching them.

“One of the main tasks of Russian breeders is to create hybrids and types which are in demand not only in Tatarstan but in the whole of Russia, taking into consideration the changing climate and tasks of increasing the production volume. The second sphere is biotechnologies. Today we discussed prospects of developing biotechnologies in Tatarstan and we think that is feasible to have here  a large biotechnological cluster for manufacturing all amino acids and vitamins which are in need in Russia and there are many other projects which can be implemented,” she said.

Welcoming guests and agribusiness experts, Rustam Minnikhanov said :” We are sincerely happy that such Forum is being held here in Tatarstan ”.

“We will prepare to next forums more profoundly. I am very pleased that today we have opened a new site –the Agri-biotechnical Park and all we have seen there today proves that serious attention is attached to these issues, including that personally from the Minister of Agriculture Oksana Lut. Tatarstan is with you. Once again thank you for being here with us today and I invite you to come to the forum next year,” he concluded.
