Rais of Tatarstan has a working meeting with Russian Minister of Agriculture

On 23 August on the sidelines of the All-Russia Forum of the Plant and Seed Breeders “Russian Field 2024” held in Korston recreation center in Kazan, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with Russian Minister of Agriculture Oksana Lut.

Speaking at the meeting, Oksana Lut said that Tatarstan is one of the main regions in the development of agribusiness. ”During the last years you have been increasing amounts of crop production. Tatarstan in the main center of milk production. By 2030 Russia plans to produce 39m tonnes of milk and we are expecting farmers of Tatarstan to make a decent contribution into this. Every year the region implements new industrial projects and it has a very good export capacity,” she emphasized. 

In his turn Rustam Minnikhanov stated that for efficient development of agriculture it is necessary to develop science and state-of-the-art technologies.

“Tatarstan is a large agribusiness region and we are talking not just about the produce but also the well-being of our rural residents. I want to thank our colleagues from the Russian Ministry of Agriculture for supporting the republic and implementing important state programmes. We too allocate large amounts of money to the support of our farmers," he added.
