On August 22, the Kazan Aviation Plant hosted a meeting of the Council of the Association of Enterprises and Industrialists of Tatarstan with participation of the Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin, at which the meeting participants discussed the issues of implementing the state programme for scientific and technological development of the republic, expanding and increasing the efficiency of interaction between universities and scientific organizations with industrial enterprises.
Pesoshin also said that in accordance with the Decree of Russian President, 2022-2031 have been declared the Decade of Science and Technology in the country. In addition, according to the Decree of the Rais of Tatarstan, 2024 has been declared the Year of Scientific and Technological Development in the republic.
At the regional level, a state program for scientific and technological development has been adopted and is currently being implemented. Five universities of the republic are participants of the federal programme of strategic academic leadership "Priority-2030". A mandatory condition for participation in it is the interaction of universities with enterprises of the real sector of the economy," the Head of Tatarstan Government emphasized. For the purpose of cooperation between higher education and industrial enterprises, Tatarstan participates in the implementation of the federal project «Advanced Engineering Schools».
In his speech, the President of the Academy of Sciences of Tatarstan Rifkat Minnikhanov outlined promising areas of interaction between scientific and educational organizations and enterprises of the real sector of the economy, including increasing the efficiency of interaction in the high-tech entrepreneurship, developing the intellectual property market, and supporting promising projects of industrial enterprises of the republic.
Deputy Prime Minister of the republic – Tatarstan Minister of Industry and Trade Oleg Korobchenko emphasized that the need for training personnel in industries is estimated at 58.8 thousand people over the next 7 years, including training of skilled workers – 33,000 people, middle level specialists – 14,000 and specialists with higher education – 12,000.
