On 17 August, speaking at a meeting held with participation of the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic, with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov informed that about 80 tonnes of humanitarian aid to the affected residents of Kursk region was collected in Tatarstan in a week. He said that the aid included food, household chemicals, medicine, clothes, home appliances and construction materials and thanked representatives of business and labour teams who took part in collecting the aid and for their decision to donate money via a charity fund. It is a handsome sum of money and we are grateful to them for their cooperation, he said.
Rais of Tatarstan stated that the collection of humanitarian aid for Kurk is going on and informed that the work coordinator is Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva.
He also especially mentioned work of such organization as Yardam Yanasha regional movement, the Ak Bars Creation charity fund, the People’s Front and volunteers’ amalgamations.
At the meeting Rustam Minnikhanov also reminded about the Day of the Russian Flag celebrated on 22 August and the Day of Tatarstan celebrated on 30 August and gave an errand to heads of municipalities to think over events to be held in municipalities and to ensure mass media coverage of topical events.
”During preparations to festivities I give an errand to heads of municipalities, the Ministry of Culture and other involved Ministries to pay special attention to veterans and participants of the Special Military Operation. Do not forget about their families, especially those where the fallen are – they must be the first to feel our support,” he said.
