Rais of Tatarstan: Salyat movement makes a big contribution into preservation of national culture and traditions

On 7 August the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov accompanied by the Director of the Salayt Youth Center Aigul Gabdrakhmanova, the regional Minister for Youth Affairs Rinat Sadykov, the Minister of Education and Science of the republic Ilsur Khadiullin and the regional Minister of Culture Irada Ayupova visited the venue of the Salayat Forum in the Settlement of Bilyarsk in Alekseeyevkoye region of the republic. 

In 2024 the Salayat Forum will be held with participation of about 14 thousand representatives of gifted youth from the republic, regions of Russia and foreign countries, and Rustam Minnikhanov got acquainted with work at festival isles of the forum and visited the culinary workshop, the educational laboratory in developing IT solutions for promotion of Tatar language and culture and a creative workshop. During the tour Aygul Gabdrakhmanova told the Rais of the republic about various projects being implemented by the Salyat movement.

Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized that Salayat makes a big contribution into preservation of national culture and traditions. “This work should be done in every region, every settlement and in every school. Only joint efforts will help us to preserve our language, traditions and customs. And in this important matter we count on you – active youth. You are the future of our republic and our big country. I wish you further success and in our turn we will continue supporting your initiatives,”’ he said. 

Later the same day Rustam Minnikhanov visited the area of the Saint Spring in Bilyarsk where he was old about work done for improvement of a unique place of pilgrimage of three confessions – Muslim, Orthodox and Pagan.
