On 31 July the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with the Head of the Republic of Crimea Sergey Aksenov, who handed him in the jubilee medal of the Crimea “In commemoration of the tenth anniversary of reunification of the Crimea with Russia 2014–2024”.
Speaking at the meeting, Sergey Aksenov said: “Tatarstan is one of the important partners of the Crimea in many respects. Friendly relations between our regions have been established since the first days of the Crimea Spring and are demonstrated in joint activities during all these years.”
He emphasized that residents of the Crimea are grateful to friendly people of Tatarstan for their big help in the establishment and the development of the semi-peninsular in the difficult period of time.
In his turn Rustam Minnikhanov thanked for the award and stated that the Crimea and the federal city of Sevastopol are making a great contribution into the development of the country and protection of the independence of Russia. “Long-time friendly relations between people of Tatarstan and the Crimea are becoming stronger every year”, he concluded.
