On July 12, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Russian Minister of Energy Sergey Tsivilev took part in the plenary discussion of the Tatarstan Oil Summit, which was devoted to the issue of development of the fuel and energy complex of Russia until 2050.
The Oil Summit is one of the most authoritative Russian discussion platforms, where pressing issues of development of the fuel and energy industry enterprises are discussed and a consolidated position of government and business on key technological priorities is formulated.
Rustam Minnikhanov welcomed the participants of the 20th anniversary summit, and emphasized that the key factor for the development of each industry, including the oil industry, is human resources.
Tsivilev also offered to invest primarily in human capital.
Then, Rustam Minnikhanov and Sergey Tsivilev launched the hackathon under the V International Oil and Gas Youth Forum, which was organized at the site of the Higher Oil School and will last until July 16.
During a few days, 240 students, teachers, young professionals and scientists will develop breakthrough ideas for solving production problems in oil and gas production, oil refining, petrochemical, industrial biotechnologies and other areas of the industry. Among the hackathon participants are representatives of Russia, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. The Rais of Tatarstan and Russian Ministry of Energy looked around the industry exhibition. The exhibition presents products, technologies and equipment for geological exploration, development and production of oil and gas, oil refining, petrochemistry, tire business and biotechnological cluster.
The guests also looked around the laboratory and research building of the Higher Oil School.
