On 8 July, speaking at his meeting with the Turkish Deputy Minister of Industry and Technologies Akhmet Yozgatligil on the sidelines of the International Industrail Exhibition Innoporm-2024 in Yekaterinburg, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized that Tatarstan attaches great importance to development of Turkey-Tatarstan economic cooperation.
“Turkey is one of the leading partners of the republic and last year our trade turnover demonstrated an impressive growth of nearly 2.5 times, having made about 2.9bn US dollars,” he said.
He stated that this is due to the leaders of two countries, who attach serious attention to cooperation at the regional level. All in all Turkey and Tatarstan have 19 agreements signed between their municipalities, Rustam Minnikhanov said and added: “We are interested in Turkish business developing more projects in our republic and using it as a platform for going into Russian and Eurasian markets. We will provide comprehensive support to your companies.”
In his turn the Turkish Deputy Minister thanked for the opportunity to meet on the sidelines of the forum. “Due to our friendship and brotherly relations we actively work in development of economic ties. Tatarstan is one of the key regions with which we work on a first priority basis,” Akhmet Yozgatligil emphasized.
