Rais of Tatarstan meets Tajikistan Prime Minister in Yekaterinburg

On 8 July, speaking at his meeting in Yekaterinburg with Tajikistan Prime Minister Kokhir Rasulzoda, who came to Russia to take part in the International Industrial Exhibition Innoprom-2024, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said:”A continuous dialogue of leaders of our countries and reciprocal visits create remarkable conditions and opportunities for work at the inter-regional level.” 

He reminded that the trade turnover between Tatarstan and Tajikistan is growing and last year made 36m US dollars. “A number of our enterprises deliver their produce to Tajikistan. I think we do not use the existing capacities in full. It is necessary to ramp up our interaction in trade and economic sphere. It is important to develop cooperation of our enterprises,” he stated. 

The parties of the meeting mentioned machine-building, petrochemical industry, agriculture, healthcare and IT technologies as the priority spheres for cooperation. 

In his turn Kokhir Rasulzoda emphasized: “We are very happy to see you no matter where we meet as you are our person. I want to pass you huge and warm greetings from Tajikistan President. He has the greatest respect to you.”  

The parties emphasized the importance of cooperation at all levels. Tajikistan delegations participated in the Games of the Future, the BRICS Games and the Forum of BRICS city Mayors and the Tajikistan Prime Minister stated: “Tatarstan hosts the largest events as you can organize everything at the highest level.”
