On 5 July during his working trip to Kikmor regions of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov got acquainted with implementation of investments projects in cattle breeding and talked to agricultural workers.
Thus he visited the dairy complex with 1 1337 cows, where he was told that it is planned to increase the number of cows to 1 500 by the end of the year, got acquainted with the project of construction of the new cattle farm for 4 800 cows, which will be completed by 2028, and looked round the exposition of local produce such as Kukmor felt boots, cooking dishes, agricultural equipment and dairy and meat products.
When talking to farmers and heads of rural settlements, Rustam Minnikhanov gave high assessment to the region’s achievements. ”Kukmor region is exemplary by many factors. You have big achievements in agriculture and well established work with investors. The region is a champion in milk yield, producing 500 tonnes of milk daily. You have growth capacity and it is important to continue implementation of all our projects and programmes”; he added.
In his turn Sergey Dimitriyev informed that the sowing campaign has been finished successfully. He also said that farmers are increasing areas for growing forage crops. As for cattle breeding it is planned to increase milk yield up to 700 tonnes, the Head of the region said.
