On 3 July the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov visited a new elevator complex “Sviyazhsk-Zernoprodukt “located at the Sviyazhsk inter-regional multi-modular logistics center (SMMLC).
The complex with the capacity of 112 thousand tonnes of grain in 16 bin-blocks will provide storage, cleaning, drying and shipment of agricultural products by trucks, water and railway transport. The August-Agro Company, which is a resident of the SMMLC, has invested 2.8bn rubles into the complex which is currently under commissioning and start-up.
Rustam Minnikhanov looked round a lab for defining the grain quality and accepting of delivery, storage and goods issues units.
Talking to employees of the elevator, the Rais of the republic highly assessed the prospects of the project and said: “This is a very good site, comfortable infrastructure and unique logistic opportunities. The railway and water transport are near and there are also two federal highways M-7 and M-12 passing by. I am sure you will have enough work here.”
The elevator will process more than 450 thousand tonnes of harvest a year and can provide quick loading of up to 700 tonnes of grain an hour to a ship and 350 tonnes an hour – to trucks and railway transport.
During his trip to the SMMLC Rustam Minnikhanov also visited the Vybor-Povolzhye Plant which manufactures paving slabs, with the daily capacity of 2 500 square meters of paving tiles, 9 thousand units of road forms and 25 thousand units of concrete curb forms.
