On 29 June, speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Food and Agriculture of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported about fodder conservation and the use of digital tools in plant production.
Thus he informed that as of today 100 thousand tonnes of hay and 851 thousand tonnes of hayage silage have been conserved in the republic which makes 6.3 centners of fodder units per cattle capita or 16 per cent of the planned. “Addressing heads of farms and agricultural holdings I would like to say that next week is expected to be dry and sunny. It is necessary to use all forage harvesters and finish the first cutting by the end of the next week,” the Minister said.
He also attracted attention of agricultural workers to the importance of timely measures for taking samples and analyzing the quality of the conserved silage.
Speaking about digitalization, Marat Zyabbarov stated that implementation of digital tools and automation in agriculture makes it possible for enterprises to cut expenses and increase their productivity. Currently more than 10 thousand agricultural vehicles are equipped with GLONSS trackers and navigation tools which raise their efficiency and improve technological processes, he informed.
The Minister said that to raise productivity and quality of work of wide-coverage seeder-units it is recommended to equip them with sowing control systems thus preventing revenue losses of more than 2 thousand rubles per crop hectare.
He also informed that more than 300 heads and specialists from 138 farmsteads have already obtained knowledge and skills for using digital tools in enterprise management and developed their individual plans for introduction of automatization. Currently 30 farms have already started implementation of digital technologies, Marat Zyabbarov informed.
