Import-replacement projects are presented to Rustam Minnikhanov at meeting of the Board of the Tatneftekhiminvest-holding Company

On 289 June at the Government House of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov held a meeting of the Board of the Tatneftekhiminvest-holding Company, where its participants were informed about Tatarstan Oil and Gas Forum to be held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center on 26-28 August and about advanced import-replacing projects .

Speaking about the Forum, the regional Minister of Industry and Trade Oleg Korobchenko said: “It is proposed to have days of entrepreneurs with their presentations and there will be a plenary session dedicated to replacement of hydrocarbon reserves”.

Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized that the Forum is an important event for the branch. “Today a huge amount of new materials and car components is needed and the housing utilities sector is under reforms. This issue should be followed up with the SIBUR as the largest polymers manufacturer. We should study demands of the domestic market,”- he said.

The Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Director of the Physical-Technical Institute of the Academy Sergey Ivanov told participants of the meeting about technologies of manufacturing ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene filaments and the needle coke from petrochemical products and research carried out in the spheres of quantum communications, photonics, controlled thermonuclear fusion , while the Director General of the Research and Design Institute of Chemical Machine-building Aleksandr Tsygankov informed about corkscrew anti-icers to be tested on the Volga River near Zelenodolks in the coming winter. 

The Operational Director of the Hydrocomposit Company Dmitriy Varivoda proposed to establish production of aramid yarn used in manufacture of rocket engines, bullet-proof vests, fire-proof gear and so on. Currently the yarn is supplied from India, he informed.

The Institute of Acoustics after Academician N. Andreev told that in 2025 it is planned to establish production of acoustic tracking systems and electronic warfare systems in Russia, and the Director General of the Institute Aleksey Maltsev told about work done with floating cables for oil and gas shelf and geo-navigation equipment for exploration for oil and gas fields .

After the Director General of the Mars Technologies Company Aleksey Kozhemyako told about environment and facilities warning and monitoring systems, Rustam Minnikhanov stated the importance of these systems under current conditions and recommended to consider the issues together with the Emergencies Ministry and other organizations. 

The Board also elected Rustam Minnikhanov as its Chairman and Rafinat Yarullin was again approved to the position of the Director General of the holding.
