On 24 June the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a meeting of the Association for facilitation of digital development of the republic held at the Kazan multidisciplinary lyceum N11.
Before the meeting the Rais of the republic was demonstrated a number of promising innovative projects, such as “The Safe School”, which presupposes the use of AI and video-analytics systems for monitoring the educational institutions security, the regional automated system of emergency and disaster medicine services, which includes all 44 emergency organizations of the republic, and the digital platform in the sphere of ecology and use of nature, the implementation of which will provide an annual financial outcome of 600m rubles.
Rustam Minnikhanov was also shown the presentation of the Softline Company, which develops domestic software and the Innostage, which has demonstrated its tool of smart monitoring, control and analysis of cyber-resilient risks, and later, addressing participants of the meeting, he reminded that the President of the country has set forth a task of ensuring the technological sovereignty in key economic and social spheres. “The Association plays a big role in coordinating this work which involves universities, enterprises, power bodies and the experts’ community,” he emphasized
He attracted attention to the fact that one of the most important tasks is to ensure safety of the educational process and gave an errand to regional Ministry of Education and Ministry of Digital Development together with law-enforcement bodies ensure pilot tests of various solutions in educational institutions and report about their results in the end of the year.
Rustam Minnikhanov added that the leadership of the country set forth the task to ensure transition to the domestic software by the end of the current year and informed: “Together with the ICL Company we are doing work to transfer regional and municipal organizations to Astra Linux operational system and this process should be completed already in November.”
He also mentioned a steep increase of cyber-attacks from abroad and said: “The task of the administration of enterprises is to ensure the production sustainability and safety using the domestic information protection means. The Ministry of Industry and Trade together with the Ministry of Digital Development must keep this issue under their control,” he said.
In his turn the Director General of the ICL Services Company Ruslan Vaguizov reported about the current status of the Astra Linux import replacement and told about proposals for further development of the IT-landscape in the republic, while the Director General of the ICL Systems Technology reported about the use of proved ICL software and hardware appliances at industrial critical information infrastructure facilities.
