Rustam Minnikhanov gives an errand to tighten control over food quality at Sabantuy

On 22 June, speaking at a regular meeting in the Government House of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov reminded that the Tatar national holiday Sabantuy will take place on three sites in Kazan and the BRICS Games closing ceremony will be held in the Village of Mirnyy on 23 June.

“Of course there will be a huge load on safety providing bodies as well as on workers of the spheres of culture and catering. It is important to monitor enforcement of requirement to the food quality and safety. It is especially important after recent events”, he said and gave an errand to the Rospotrebnadzor (Federal Service for the Oversight of Consumer Protection and Welfare) and the prosecution to get into the act. 

Today (22 June) is the final day of BRICS Games in Kazan with more than 4 500 people from 85 countries having taken part in them during 10 competitions days. As many as 252 medal sets were awarded with Russia taking the first place, Belarus – the second and China the third in the medal count. 

“We can see competitions raise big interest and many fan have come here from Russia and other countries. The BRICS Games have also active  mass media coverage,” Rustam Minnikhanov said.
