Rustam Minnikhanov gets acquainted with improvement of Blue Lakes territory

On 20 June the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov went on a working trip to Blue Lakes near Kazan where he had a working meeting with the interdepartmental team working on implementation of the concept of development of nature conservation area of Blue Lakes.  

Blue lakes are a unique nature sanctuary popular with residents and guests of Kazan. However uncontrolled visits caused ecological deterioration of the territory and the main idea of the concept is to create comfortable conditions for tourists at the same time treating the nature carefully. 

There is a large interdepartmental team working at the project under supervision of the Institute of Development of Tatarstan Cities which makes it possible to pay attention to issues from various spheres beginning from ecology to the further management of the area. 

Rustam Minnikhanov got acquainted with the improvement of the Big and Small Blue Lakes and talked to visitors. The Director of the Institute Nailya Zinnatullina told about solutions ensuring distribution of tourist flows, setting up new swimming areas and organization of scenarios for recreation, and eco-paths for tourists.

At the Big Blue Lake Rustam Minnikhanov looked round an equipped climb down to the Kazanka River, where there is a boat station with points for renting boats, canoes and sapboards for activity holidays on the river. 

The Rais of Tatarstan was informed that after the area of the Big Blue Lake underwent improvement, the tourist flow grew substantially. That is why in the future is it planned to start accreditation of tourist operators using the example of the Kazan Kremlin.
