Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in a ceremonial Namaz on the occasion of Kurban-Bayram in the renovated central mosque of Almetyevsk

On 16 June during his working trip to Almetyevsk the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in in a ceremonial Namaz on the occasion of the Eid al-Adha holiday held in in the renovated central mosque of the city. 

In the beginning of the prayer, Tatarstan First Deputy Mufti Ilfar hazrat Khasanov congratulated Muslims with the Eid al-Adha and read out congratulations from Russian President Vladimir Putin and the Rais of the republic Rustam Minnikhanov. 

Ilfar Khasanov dedicated his sermon to the topic of the family and relations between a wife and a husband in the marriage. He emphasized that the institute of the family is extremely important in the Islamic community and despite all difficulties the spouses face in their marriage it is very important to preserve it and family values.

In his turn, addressing participants of the ceremonial Namaz, Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized that the renovated mosque in Almetyevsk has become a real Muslim-educational center. “This mosque is an example not only for Tatarstan but for the whole of Russia. It is a real Islamic center. Further it is planned to renovate the building of a madrasa located nearby. I thank everyone who took part in the mosque overhaul and made his or her contribution into this Good thing. Tatarstan attaches proper attention to all religions. We live in peace and concord in our wonderful republic and our great country,” he said. 

The minister of cathedral church of Almetyevsk Oleg Chugunov, who was especially invited to the ceremony, also congratulated Muslims with the holiday. “Every church and every mosque is the house of God. It is nice to see that people, who are doing deeds for the God, grudge it no expense. I want to wish this wonderful facility to become a center for saving a human soul,” he said. 

After the Namaz Rustam Minnikhanov looked round the mosque complex renovated by the project of the Tatneft Oil Company and which comprises a prayer room for 1200 people, a room for nikah and name giving, a conference room a shop, a family and children’s playing spaces.
