Rais of Tatarstan: The BRICS Games should be held at a high level

On June 14, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said that the BRICS Sports Games should be held at a high level.

On June 12, on the Day of Russia, Kazan hosted a significant event, the opening ceremony of the BRICS Games with participation of honoured guests - the Aide to the Russian President Aleksey Dyumin, the Counselor of the Russian President Igor Levitin and new Russian Minister of Sports Mikhail Degtyarev, which was started by Russian President Vladimir Putin via video link.

As many as 4000 athletes from near 100 counties are expected to be participants of the Games.

“Carrying out sporting events, organizational issues, security issues - all this requires special attention,” the Rais of the republic emphasized.
