Rustam Minnikhanov meets Uzbekistan Deputy Foreign Minister Erkin Khamraev

On 14 June at their meeting held with participation of the Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Russia Botirjon Asadov, the Representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry in Kazan Radik Vakhitov and other officials in the Government House of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Uzbekistan Deputy Foreign Minister Erkin Khamraev discussed steps in strengthening cooperation of Tatarstan and Uzbekistan within the framework of Russia-Uzbekistan relations.

Speaking at the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov stated that Russian and Uzbekistan are strategic partners and it is important to maintain established relations and strengthen contacts.

During his stay in Kazan Erkin Khamraev plans to have meeting in the Chamber of Commerce of the republic, visit Kazan Federal University which trains students from Uzbekistan and to visit a number of enterprises of the republic.
