Rustam Minnikhanov meets President of Republic of Srpska Milorad Dodik

On 7 June, speaking at his meeting with the President of the Republic of Srpska Milorad Dodik on the sidelines of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov expressed his gratitude for the President’s consistent stand in the issue of cooperation with Russia. “We have huge opportunities for cooperation and first of all in the sphere of economy,” Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized. 

He attracted attention to the fact that such spheres as petrochemical industry, helicopter building, vehicles and their components manufacture and agriculture are promising for cooperation. 

Currently the trade turnover between the republics makes slightly more than 67 thousand dollars, and the parties stressed their interest in expanding their cooperation to achieve more substantial numbers. 

In his turn Milorad Dodik informed that the day before he had a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, where they also discussed the expansion of cooperation with Tatarstan.”Vladimir Putin welcomed our decision to sign an agreement. I would like to thank you for all you have done for developing our interaction,” he emphasized. 

In the end of the meeting Rustam Minnikhanov and Milorad Dodik signed a Protocol of trade-economic, scientific-technical and social and cultural-humanitarian cooperation between Tatarstan and the Republic of Srpska.
