Rustam Minnikhanov meets Director General of the State Transport Leasing Company

On 5 June at their meeting on the sidelines of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Director General of the State Transport Leasing Company Yevgeny Dietrich  discussed strategic cooperation in the projects of development water  high speed passengers transportation, namely the plans of leasing  passengers high-speed hydrofoil vessels Meteor-2020.Two such vessels carried passengers from Kazan to Ulyanovsk and Cheboksary and the participants of the meeting discussed increasing the number of ships as there is a high interest to this kind of travel. 

Rustam Minnikhanov and Yevgeny Dietrich also spoke about implementation of investments projects of procurement of public transport for its further leasing in 2023-2024 with attracting financing from the National Well-Being Fund. Earlier the republic used fund financing to procure 119 buses for 12 municipalities and participants of the meeting discussed opportunities for purchasing special class buses for Kazan and Naberezhnyye Chelny. 

In the end of the meeting in the presence of Rustam Minnikhanov the Tatarstan Ministry of Transport and Road Economy, the State Transport Leasing Company and the Tatarstan Fleet signed an agreement on strategic cooperation.
