Rustam Minnikhanov meets the Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia

On 4 June at his meeting with the Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia in Moscow, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov gave him a warm welcome and stated that he was very happy to meet him again. 
In his turn the Patriarch also warmly welcomed Rustam Minnikhanov and informed that he always has the best memories of visits to Tatarstan. Last time he came to Kazan in May 2023 where he took part in a meeting of the Strategic Vision Group “Russia-the Islamic World”. He also reminded that he visited Kazan in July 2021 when he himself consecrated the reconstructed Kazan Virgin Cathedral
“These are my two visits to Tatarstan and both are rather informative. I always leave the republic with very positive impressions. I can see how this area changes, economy and the social sphere of life are developing. But the most special impression is from wonderful relations between the Islamic and Orthodox communities. This is how using one region as an example we can show how these relations should develop,” His Holiness said.
He also wished this to continue as the inter-ethnic and inter-confessional peace are the key to prosperity of our country. Rustam Minnikhanov said that he fully agrees with the Patriarch and expressed his hope that His Holiness will come to Kazan again.
