On May 27, speaking at a briefing dedicated to the upcoming Children’s Day, Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan Leila Fazleeva said that in Tatarstan, 21 per cent of the population, which makes 852,000 thousand people, are children under 17.
At the same time, more than 160 thousand children are brought up in large families, there are over 50,000 in Tatarstan.
Speaking about the events planned for June 1, the head of the regional branch of the All-Russian “Movement of the First,” Timur Suleymanov said that the “Festival of the First” will take place in all regions of Tatarstan. “It will be held in the territories and camps, parks and squares. The programme primarily plans family events: tournaments, relay races, master classes, quests and much more,” the speaker explained.
He also added that all these events will introduce the younger generation to the opportunities that are open in Tatarstan for harmonious development.
Timur Suleymanov said that on the International Children's Day, the Kazan Kremlin will host the festival «Yalkyn-fest» dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Yalkyn magazine, where 5,000 people are planned to participate in the festival, including half of them, namely 2.5 thousand, coming from the regions of Tatarstan.
The Kazan extreme park “URAM” will host the “Movement of the First” family tournament in pioneer ball and football. Teams of three will have no restrictions on gender and age of participants.
